Baby Joan was born

Baby Joan was born about 4 weeks ago, and she is a sweetie. I got to see her smile for the first time today. She is fun to cuddle and doesn't cry much. Jocie gets to hold her a lot and feed her a lot.

John's Interviewing Problems

Well, I’m out of work, and in celebration of preparing for my job interview on Tuesday, I’d thought it would be fun to see all of the things I’ve said in an interview.

Responses I gave on jobs that I was hired
Interviewer: Tell me about yourself.
Me: Well, I’m a Gemini…

Me: (having a really bad coughing fit)
Interviewer: Would you like to get a glass of water?
Me: No, I think I’m fine now.
Interviewer: Good, now tell me about..
Me: (having another coughing fit)
Interviewer: (exasperated, but smiling) John, please get up, get some fresh air and a drink of water.

Interviewer: Why should we hire you?
Me: I can work more better than anyone else.

Responses I gave on jobs that I wasn’t hired
Me: Is it OK for me to sing when I work?
Interviewers: (look at each other incredulously) uh, yes.

(after reviewing mock products to sell)
Interviewer: Is there anything that can help me?
Me: Well, we have many accessessories that can help you…axsessories..excessisories, exsories, (finally give up on trying to say accessories and say) extra things that can help you.

Me: (shivering throughout the interview) Man it is cold (in a loud voice) BRRRRRR!

Why are they mid-run? That alligator just made a large CHOMP at their heads! They weren't too traumatized, although Kate finds 'There's an alligator under my bed' more interesting now, and pipes up with 'Alligator bite me!' every once in awhile. She saw the shadow of a plant on our wall today, yelled 'alligator!' and zapped it with a lazer flash-light.
